Position:   Sales Manager, Canadian Boat Shows

Location:  Bolton, Ontario
 

Description/Scope of Work -
-Manage and execute renewals of existing exhibitors by maintaining and developing relationships and communications through a high volume of contact during the renewal process, and coordinating the volume of requests for space changes to maximize space revenue within parameters
- Collection of deposits and payments associated with renewing and new customers
-Effectively manage the balance between manufacturer and dealer relationships that exist within spaces
-Prospecting for new customers through the development of databases, aggressively following up with phone calls, personal visits, and email communications
-Together with the Show Manager, develop revenue targets and strategies for space sales
-Maintain master show floor plan
- Develop new floor plans of specific areas that require revisions as the industry evolves through market changes
- Lead and execute the space sales strategies, including high renewal targets, growth opportunities, and space assignments according to allocation guidelines
- Create and coordinate sales information for emailing/mailing to exhibitors and prospects
- Communication with exhibitors before, on-site, and after the event
- Effectively communicate and enforce display standards, union requirements, show logistics assistance, administrative requirements, promotional opportunities, and general exhibitor inquiries to ensure a positive experience
- Handle exhibitor communications and relationships, including conflict resolution
- Effectively communicate and implement Occupational Health and Safety Plan of the show to exhibitors
- Assist administrative staff in the preparation of admin aspects of space sales
- Communicate and handle miscellaneous operations duties as needed for show production
- On-site floor manager for the duration of the Toronto Show, and other events (Vancouver) including all of move-in, show days and move-out

  • Outboard and inboard engine & transmission troubleshooting & repair.

Position:  Combined Senior Maintenance Role + CANSail 3-4 Instructor

Location:  Ottawa, Ontario

Type and Scope of Job:  This unique full-time position combines both maintenance and teaching roles.  Reporting to the Director of the sailing school, the ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old and be familiar with both dinghies and keelboats.
As a CANSail instructor, you will be responsible for providing sailing instruction to groups of adults during evening hours.
As leader for the maintenance role, you will be responsible for keeping a fleet of 22-24 foot keelboats in good repair. This includes preparing boats for launch, rigging them, and hauling the boats (winterizing) at the end of the season.

Primary Responsibilities: 

- Oversee the maintenance of the school's fleet & equipment

- Provide sailing instruction to young adults up to CANSail level 4

Experience and Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' sailing experience in a variety of boats
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a dinghy instructor teaching youth or/and adults
  • Minimum 3 years experience / familiarization with maintaining boats

Skills & Qualifications

  • CANSail Certified Instructor - certified to teach on dinghies. up to CANSail level 4
  • Standard/Emergency first aid with CPR “C”
  • Current Boat Rescue or equivalent
  • Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card
  • Knowledge of basic boat maintenance including being familiar with launching and hauling small keelboats

  • Racing experience on dinghies/keelboats considered an asset

Description and Scope of Work:

Reports directly to the service manager the service coordinator is responsible for customer interaction, scheduling, invoicing, estimating and oversight of the day to day operations of the shop.  The scope of these responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

·         Communicate directly with service customers either in person or by phone.

·         Discuss our customer's needs and complete the work order so that we can meet those needs.

·         Estimate jobs prior to starting work and keep abreast of the status throughout the work process.

·         Communicate the status of each job with the customer as it progresses, including start date, price updates, completion, and final invoice.

·         Communicate with the technicians throughout the job completion process.

·         Maintain service schedule daily.

·         Ensure that we can and do deliver on all commitments.

·         Perform research on jobs or processes for the technicians when appropriate.

We're looking for a responsible, organized, self-starter that excels at customer service and can help our customers find their perfect boat. Excellent communication skills are essential. Pride and ownership of the sales department must be evident in your daily tasks and you must posses the ability to grow and manage it like your own business. You need to be able to work in a very demanding environment with a demanding schedule. 9-5 is not your work day, Monday-Friday is not your work week and you must be available to respond to email leads ASAP; you appreciate it when you receive a response to any of your inquiries promptly, anytime of day, right? You must be comfortable working on a computer as this is how our inventory is managed as well as our leads. You will be responsible for ensuring our indoor showroom is at optimum viewing pleasure for our customers as well as our outdoor show space. Description and Scope of Work: Collins Bay Marina is the largest privately owned & operated marina on Lake Ontario in Kingston Ontario Canada.  We are a well respected marina that offers our boaters premier facilities and superior customer service.  We have one position available for the right person to join our team.  Great for someone who wants to continuously learn and for someone who enjoys some time off in the off season.

Gas dock attendant, stepping and destepping masts, backhoe operator, workboat operator, lawn tractor operator, assisting in operating a hydraulic trailer.  Team player, assisting crew during launch/haul out using a 65 ton crane.  Maintenance of all equipment and marina facilities.   
 
Qualifications:
-Mechanical background with an interest in continuous learning
-Experience with boats & in a nautical environment
-Excellent customer service skills
-Good communication & public relation skills
-Strong organizational skills
-First Aid/CPR  certified

Position:  Marine Technician

Location:  Mark's Marine & Leisure Inc., Medicine Hat, Alberta

Description and Scope of Work:  We are a small family oriented marine repair facility in sunny Southern Alberta seeking a full time, year round, service technician to basically run our service department. We repair mainly boats, motors and trailers, but do service some small generators, and Atv"s., install electronics and accessories.

Skills and Qualifications:  Must be able to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment, like people, and be able to meet the public. Prefer a skilled marine service technician that is comfortable working on all major brands of outboards, stern drives, and inboards.  Must have good diagnostics skills,some computer skills,takes pride in his/her work, pays attention to detail, and is physically fit.

Position: Marine Technician

Description and Scope of Work:  Certified Marine Technician required by established Marine Dealership just 15 minutes from Calgary, Alberta.  Must be Volvo Penta or Mercury Marine certified or have completed and passed some of their courses.  Must have experience working on Inboard/Outboard engines as well as Inboards.  Must be able to work independantly.  Also, experience installing wakeboard towers and Audio systems a definate assett.
