Originally developed for high-speed search and rescue use where the virtues of an inflatable boat are well-proven, but where speed and seaworthiness are equally important, the 2Tinga tunnel hull dinghies are now available in yacht tender designs and colours.
The tunnel hull design has another major benefit to yacht owners; it is easily towed, even at high speeds. Using your swim platform for a dinghy storage rack is not ideal and towing a dinghy at speed can be tricky and a waste of fuel too.

Fuel System Lock Helps Prevent Theft
- Friday, 14 October 2011 15:27
Like other valuables, doesn’t it seem reasonable that fuel tanks should be kept under lock and key?
Perko makes it easy to retrofit a sturdy locking mechanism in the majority of their 1-1/2" vented and non-vented fills. The black plastic 0525 Fuel System Locking Insert comes with a high-strength zinc alloy lock cylinder. When slid into the fill, spring action retracts the cams, which then lock onto the hose bib once the device is fully inserted. A handy dual purpose key opens the protective metal fill cap and operates the lock. Installation is easy, usually with no tools.
Removing the 0525 is simple.

- Friday, 07 October 2011 13:43
Boston Whaler expands its classic Montauk selection with the release of the rugged new 210 Montauk. Entering the lineup as Whaler’s largest Montauk yet, the 210 carries on the line’s legacy of incredible functionality and durability while making the most of its increased size to expand on these qualities.
“With the popularity of our smaller Montauks and the value they provide, the 210 Montauk delivers upon that mission from a larger scale,” said Ron Berman, Boston Whaler’s vice president of product development and engineering.
Every Boat Deserves Proper Running Lights
- Monday, 03 October 2011 15:58
If you were to check the running lights on every boat in your marina, we bet you would find that many have defective lights. The stern light is often the problem as lines and people snag or grab them. They're often stowed to save space and eliminate visual obstruction. Rather than removing them, where they can be lost or damaged, Perko's Fold Down White All-Round Lights simply fold out of the way.
The lights are certified for use on sail or power vessels under 65.6'. Perko's designs include options with either a white translucent globe, or reduced-glare versions with a frosted globe or a black plastic top and clear fluted lens.
