FURUNO PACKS MORE POWER IN LESS SPACE WITH THE NEW DRS4DL UHD RADAR

Furuno DRS2D PD

Furuno introduces their new DRS4DL high-power, compact UHD Radar.

The all-new DRS4DL is a 4kW, 36 n.m. Radar that is housed in a very compact 19” Radome. This new antenna utilizes the same size dome as their DRS2D; however, on the inside you’ll find a new transceiver, boasting twice the power. Coupling that higher power with a 5.2 degree horizontal beamwidth antenna and Furuno’s automatic, real-time digital signal processing, the DRS4DL presents users with some of the clearest targets you’ll ever find from a Radar of this compact size.

The DRS4DL fits perfectly into the NavNet TZtouch & TZtouch2 Radar line, giving smaller boats and those with clearance constraints a great option. In addition to delivering more power and performance than its predecessor, it also comes in at a price point that is lower than the DRS2D.

Furuno also worked at making it easier to install the DRS4DL dome, which saves time and money on installation. The new Radome design incorporates a convenient “pigtail” cable for connection to both power and the NavNet network. The power consumption is a mere 23 Watt TX and 10 Watt STBY, thanks to its high-efficiency circuitry.

If the thought of adding a Radar to your system has ever crossed your mind, as you hesitantly navigate through the fog, now is the perfect time to add one to your NavNet TZtouch or TZtouch2 system. At a price this reasonable for a powerful 4kW system, you now have every reason to add Radar to your boat.
